About Lakewood Fire Department

Our Mission

The mission of the Lakewood Fire Department is to protect the lives, property, and environment of the residents and visitors of Lakewood, New Jersey. With a coverage area of 25 square miles and a population of over 135,000 people, our department is dedicated to minimizing loss of life, property, and the environment from fires, natural disasters, and life-threatening situations.

Lakewood is a dynamic and diverse community located on the Jersey Shore, known for its rapidly growing community, parks and recreational areas, vibrant business community, and home to Georgian Court University, and Beth Medrash Govoha. The Lakewood Fire Department is committed to ensuring the safety of all who call this town home, and to working with other emergency agencies to provide comprehensive protection and response to emergencies.

Through training, technology, and a commitment to excellence, our department strives to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, and service to the community.
